Rice, spices, fish stock, and a whole lot of seafood- these are just some of the ingredients that go into making a delicious bowl of paella. But why are we talking about this iconic Spanish dish? Well, because actress Ileana D’Cruz is showing off a plateful of drool-worthy paella on her Instagram stories. And this time, it is “island-style”, as Ileana wrote in her post. Paella, which is often referred to as Spain’s national dish has its origins in Valencia. It is traditionally made with shrimps, fish, mussels, ham, chorizo (pork sausage), and chicken stock.

In addition to a host of spices, the recipe features ingredients such as garlic, white pepper, onions, pimientos, chickpeas, saffron, and rosemary. Like Ileana, you can add a few wedges of lemon on the side and pair the dish with a cooling drink.
